According to the publishers' sites, i think, the Canadian edition was released the day before the US pictured here. Can anyone confirm or disconfirm this?

You are correct. According to Harper Collins Canada (publisher for Canadian edition) the publication date in Canada is June 22, 2009 while Random House (publisher for American edition) published the book on June 23, 2009. Here are the links for the two websites:
Canada - http://www.harpercollins.ca/books/9781554684823/Let_the_Great_World_Spin/index.aspx
USA - http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9781400063734
This proves that the "True" first edition is the Canadian edition.

It proves that one was "on sales" before the other. I haven't seen the copyright page on the Canadian Edition, but I wouldn't be surprised if it stated First Canadian Edition. All indications are that Random House was the primary publisher.
